Tips on Drinking Enough Water

Tips on Drinking Enough Water:
  • Start your day off by drinking 1-2 glasses of water every morning.
  • Keep a water pitcher in the refrigerator.
  • Carry a water bottle with you.
  • Drink water before you feel thirsty; if the thirst mechanism is set off, then you are already mildly dehydrated.
  • Drink a few glasses of water before exercising, and drink several ounces of water frequently during your workout.
  • Drink pure water; tap water or bottled water is OK.
  • Avoid juices which are high in sugar content.
  • Diet sodas and other beverages containing artificial sweeteners may cause you to retain more fluid; these should be avoided.
Water is plentiful, good for you, and cheap; DRINKS UP!!!!

How Much Water is Needed Daily?

How Much Water is Needed Daily?
  • You need to drink at least enough water daily to replace the water that the body normally loses through perspiration, waste removal, and other functions (such as water lost as vapors by the lungs as air is exhaled).
  • You will lose more water, and need to replace more water, if it is very hot outside, you exercise vigorously, drink a lot of caffeinated or alcoholic beverages, have a fever, or are losing water through vomiting or diarrhea.
  • You need at least 2 quarts, or 8-10 (8 ounce) glasses of water daily; this is the minimum. If you exercise, especially in hot weather, you should increase this to 3-4 quarts.

The Role of Water in Your Diet and Weight Loss Efforts

The Role of Water in Your Diet and Weight Loss Efforts:
  • The initial weight loss on any diet is mostly due to the loss of water, and you need to replace that water in order to prevent dehydration.
  • Your body requires a lot of water every day; sometimes the body's signals for thirst are misinterpreted as hunger pangs, causing you to pick up something to eat instead of a glass of water.
  • Many foods have high water content; approximately 40% of our daily water intake actually comes from food. Your body may signal that it is hungry in order to get more water through food. This would be OK, except for the fact that this excess food supplies excess calories in addition to water. If you're feeling hunger pangs, it's best to drink a large glass of water, wait 20 minutes, and then decide if you are truly hungry.
  • Drinking water can help to fill you up and prevent you from overeating.
  • You can exercise more effectively when you drink enough water.
  • As you increase muscle mass through exercise, your body will burn more fat (muscles actually assist the body in burning fat). Muscle is made up of more water than fat is, so water becomes even more important as you become more active; dehydration slows down the fat-burning activity of muscles.
  • Water helps to maintain the muscle tone and lubricate the joints, helping to reduce muscle fatigue and soreness during exercise.
  • Burning calories and fat creates toxins, and water is essential to the process of flushing them out of your body through the kidneys.
  • Drinking an adequate amount of water will actually decrease your tendency to retain fluids
  • Dehydration results in a decrease in your blood volume, leading to a reduced supply of blood and oxygen to the muscles, causing you to feel tired.
  • Caffeine (coffee, tea, chocolate, some sodas) has a diuretic effect; for every cup of coffee, you need an additional cup of plain water to counteract this effect. The same goes for alcoholic beverages.
  • When you are eating a healthy, high-fiber diet you need additional water to dissolve the fiber in your body, helping it to move through the intestinal tract.

When the Human Body Does Not Get Enough Water

When the Human Body Does Not Get Enough Water:
  • A decrease of as little as 2% in our body's water supply can have harmful effects and cause symptoms of dehydration, such as daytime fatigue, excess thirst, fuzzy memory, difficulty focusing on tasks and simple math, light headedness, and nausea.
  • It has been estimated that 75% of Americans have mild, chronic dehydration (excessive daytime fatigue is the major symptom).
  • A reduction of 4-5% in body water can result in a 20-30% decrease in work and exercise performance.
  • A 10% decrease in water will produce significant health risks.
  • A week without water will surely result in death.

Water.. water.. water...

The Importance of Water to Human Life and to the Operation of the Human Body:
  • Next to air (oxygen), water is the most essential element to human life; the body usually cannot survive longer than several days without water (a maximum of 1 week).
  • Water is essential to the functioning of every single cell and organ system in the human body.
  • Water makes up greater than 2/3 of the weight of the human body; the brain is 75% water, blood is 83% water, bones are 22% water, muscles are 75% water, and the lungs are 90% water.
  • Water is essential for the efficient elimination of waste products through the kidneys.
  • Water regulates body temperature (through perspiration).
  • Water serves a lubricant; water forms the fluids surrounding joints and bones, providing cushioning for the joints.
  • Water prevents and alleviates constipation (by moving food through the intestines and eliminating waste products).
  • Water helps the body to absorb nutrients in the intestines.
  • Water plays a role in regulating metabolism.
  • Water forms the base for saliva (necessary for consuming and digesting food).
  • Water carries nutrients and oxygen to all cells in the body and facilitates all of the chemical processes which occur in the body.
  • Water plays a role in the prevention of disease. Drinking adequate amounts of water can reduce the risk of colon and bladder cancer significantly, and some studies have suggested that water may also decrease the risk of breast cancer.

·         Water is the best lubricating laxative and prevents constipation - Drink 2-3 glasses of water in the morning and you will notice the effect.
  • Water clears toxic waste from different parts of the body and takes it to the liver and kidneys for disposal.

DO YOU WANNA KNOW??

Everyone’s heard how important it is to drink enough water. Especially in the hot weather.  But is it really that necessary? Absolutely. This nutrient is vital to health in numerous ways, and the health benefits of drinking water cannot be underestimated.

1.   Drinking water enhances fat loss

Water is an essential nutrient. All chemical reactions in the body depend upon it. If you’re trying to Lose Weight, this can’t be ignored. You won’t be able to lose weight without water to flush out the by-products of fat breakdown. When there isn’t enough water to dilute the body’s waste products, kidney stones may form. When the kidneys aren’t working to their full potential, the liver must step in and help. Once this happens the liver can’t optimally perform its other important functions. As a result, burning fat has to wait.

2.   Combat ailments by drinking more water

In many cases, fatigue, headaches and back pain may be caused by dehydration. If you suffer from an afternoon nod off, try drinking more water at lunch. If you or your children complain of frequent headaches, the amount of water you’re drinking could be responsible. And, muscle spasms are also caused by not being adequately hydrated.

3.   Drinking water can reduce hunger

Experts say that hunger pangs areoften misinterpreted cravings for water. Try drinking water before your regular meals and see if it helps you cut down on the amount of food you eat. It really works as an effective appetite suppressant. Avoid counting tea, coffee, sodas and juices in your fluid intake. Coffee and tea contain caffeine which has a diuretic effect and makes you lose water. Sodas and juices are too sweet—because the body must dilute them, they cause more dehydration.

4.   Look younger - drinking water hydrates your skin

When the skin is properly hydrated, it looks plump and more radiant. Water will keep the toxins flushed out and help you to cool off through perspiration. Muscles need to have enough water to make them look full too. Deprive yourself of water and you’ll see the difference in the mirror.

Are you dehydrated?

Just how do you know if you’re getting dehydrated? If you have a dry mouth, produce less urine, have very dark urine and/or feel dizzy or faint you probably need water, quick. Drink at least 8 glasses a day. Experts now recommend even more, up to 12 glasses a day. To be more precise, drink ½ ounce per pound of body weight. If you exercise or are very active increase the number to 2/3 ounce per pound. Try monitoring your water intake closely for the next month. When you drink enough, you’ll look and feel better.

So, keep on drinking everyday ^_^  Guyss!

The Switch

This switch is switched on 24 hours but this drinks machine does not work.

It encourages the waste of electricity.

Hopefully this machine changes to the water cooler mutually beneficial.

:))

In A Corner

This machine has not been working at Soc Science School.

It is difficult for students to buy drinks in cans.

However, there are advantages as well.

A canned drink is not good because it has regularly consumed a lot of gas and high sugar content.

Then, we plan to place at this corner as the water cooler.

Indirectly, assist the students to drink water and assist the students to fill their drink bottles..

^_^

The Benefits Of Water Cooler At Homes And In The Office

As we know, water plays a major role in keeping your body healthy, and water coolers can give you safe and clean drinking water. A water cooler is a device that cools and dispenses water whenever you need it. Water coolers have become very popular these days and you can find them in homes, offices, airports, malls, and many other places. They are also commonly called dispensers.
Wall mounted water cooler:

The wall mounted water cooler is the most common water cooler. Here, the cooler is connected to the water supply and electricity is used to run the refrigeration to cool the incoming water. The unused water can be disposed of in the building waste system. This kind of cooler usually has a container in the machine which holds the chilled water so that when you want some water, you just have to press the button which is on a spring loaded valve, and when it is released the water gets turned off. You do not have to wait for the water to come as it is already stored.
Bottled water coolers

In the older version the water is used directly from the municipal water supply, but these days more emphasis is given on filtered water. The newer version has a free-standing design where bottled water is used. Here the bottle is placed spout down into the dispensing machine. These machines are of different sizes and vary from table units. The larger version can hold a bottle of up to 5 gallons. Depending on where it is needed, you can choose the most suitable size. For office use the larger one would be more suitable. The refrigeration function chills the water, but these units do not have a place to dump excess water, and only a small basin is there to catch minor spills.

There are coolers which have a second dispenser to deliver heated water that can be used for tea, hot chocolate, instant coffee, etc. They can be quite handy at a lot of places, be it at home or office. Water coolers are quite popular especially with the kids, as they simply love to have an icy cold drink. You also do not need to keep water in the refrigerator as you can always have chilled water whenever you want it. It works great in an outside-enclosed area, like a shop or shed as anybody can just help themselves to a refreshing drink. Large water bottles are readily available and are more economical than buying other drinks, as you just have to refill them when needed. Some bottled water companies even offer filtered drinking water coolers to their clients.

Advantages of filtered drinking water coolers over bottled water coolers:

The good thing about having filtered water coolers in offices is that companies can cut their overhead costs without giving up the quality of the amenities provided to their employees. They can cut the hassles of having individual bottles, and eliminate their administrative and drinking water costs by just investing on water coolers which can dramatically improve the taste and quality of their office drinking water. This is also more convenient as you can avoid the hassles of having bottled water deliveries once or twice per month and the possibility of running out of water. With filtered water coolers you can always rely on having a supply of water available.
So free yourself from the risk of any water infection with clean drinking water that is free of bacteria and algae, and get yourself a home water cooler! Enjoy a chilled glass of water on a hot day and a refreshing cup of tea in the morning to wake you up and prepare you for the day ahead.

The Miracle of Water

Water...

The earth is the only known planet with huge bodies of water. Seventy percent of its surface area consists of oceans, lakes, and seas surrounding huge bodies of land. The few other planets that have water contain only moisture floating as vapor on their surface or small amounts of ice or liquid water on the planet itself, not large bodies of liquid water as on earth.

Water is unique in that it can absorb enormous amounts of heat without a large alteration in its temperature. Its heat absorption level is about ten times as great as steel. During the day, the earth's bodies of water rapidly soak up enormous amounts of heat; thus, the earth stays fairly cool. At night, they release the vast amounts of heat that they absorbed during the day, which, combined with atmospheric effects, keeps most of the surface from freezing solid at night. If it were not for the tremendous amounts of water on the earth, far greater day and night temperature variations would exist. Many parts of the surface would be hot enough to boil water during the day, and the same parts would be cold enough to freeze water at night. Because water is an excellent temperature stabilizer, the large oceans on earth are vital for life to exist on earth.

In contrast to virtually all other materials (the rare exceptions include rubber and antimony), water contracts when cooled only until it reaches 4 degrees Celsius. Then it amazingly expands until it freezes. Thus, because of this anomaly, the ice that forms in seas, oceans, and lakes stays near the surface, where the sun heats it during the day and the warm water below melts it in the summer. This and the Coriolis effect, which produces ocean currents, ensure that most of the ocean stays in a liquid form, allowing the myriads of water creatures to live.

Benefits of Drinking Water Filters

Filtering your drinking water offers a multitude of benefits. Being able to have a source of water that is less expensive makes water more convenient and instantly available. Avoiding pollutants in the water can help you to avoid illness and improve your health.

Water that is filtered smells better and tastes better. Removing chemicals and bacteria in the water improves the drink ability. Having water that is more appealing means that you are more motivated to drink your daily supply of water.

Water filters can remove chlorine and chlorine by products from the water. Avoiding these harmful substances can lower your risk of certain kinds of cancers.

Using a water filter means no more lugging heavy water jugs or buying bottled water and having to get it home, store it and dispose of the empty bottles. It saves time, effort, and money.

Using a drinking water filter is an environmentally friendly decision. Plastic water bottles end up in landfills and don’t disintegrate well. One person using a refillable water bottle with filtered drinking water will save hundreds of plastic bottles from being dumped in a landfill every year.

Although most people would not pay to buy bottled water to cook with they do realize it is a healthier option. Filtering the water at home is an affordable way to use filtered water, when making tea and coffee or cooking.

Removing lead from drinking water by filtering makes it safer for children. Even low levels of lead contamination can lead to learning problems other permanent health problems in children.

Filtering drinking water removing parasites, viruses and bacteria. A water filter can also remove pathogens such as e-coli. Protecting yourself from exposure to these harmful substances means reducing your chances of getting ill.

Children fall ill easier from some contaminants than adults so it makes sense to serve them filtered water. Besides lead they are more sensitive to toxins, pathogens, and chemicals than adults.

Water can contain toxins that have seeped into the water supply from home and garden chemicals or industrial runoff. A water filter is a gatekeeper that removes harmful toxins and makes the water safer to drink.

Those with chronic illness such as diabetes and hypertension must drink water regularly to stay healthy. A chronically ill person may also be more susceptible to contaminants. Filtered drinking water is a convenient way for these patients to get the water that they need.

Water Therapy

What is water therapy?

Drinking 1.5 liters of water daily first thing in the morning is water therapy. 1.5 liters is equal 0.4 gallons of water or six and a half measuring cups (not tea-cups) of water.

How should I do it?

In the morning after getting up from bed, without even brushing your teeth or washing your face, drink 1.5 liters of water. Make sure that neither other drinks nor solid food of any sort should be taken within one hour before or after drinking the 1.5 liters of water.

Is it possible to drink 1.5 liters of water at once?

For starters, it might be difficult to drink 1.5 liters of water in one stretch, but you can get used to it gradually. Initially start practicing by drinking half liter for a week and then try gradually increase the intake to 1.5 liters.

Take one and a half liter bottle, fill it with water and start drinking directly from the bottle. Keep drinking as much as you can. If you cannot empty it all at once give a 5 minutes gap and then drink the rest of the water. Again, if you need it, give another gap of 5 minutes and empty the bottle. Keep doing this everyday and you will notice that in a few days you can empty the bottle all at once. This is the best way to do the water therapy.

Initially you might have the urge to urinate 2-3 times in one hour, but it will get normal in someday.

Done fear if you can hold so much of water, your stomach is a muscular sac that can hold about 1.5 liters (1.6 quarts) of fluid.

Why not split the water and drink throughout the day instead of drinking at once?

Consider our internal body to be a fish tank filled with water. Is it possible to clean it entirely by just replacing the water little by little or replacing the entire water in the fish tank? Similarly one cannot argue that water can do its cleaning action by drinking several cups of water throughout the day. To clean you have to shower the internal body with 1.5 liters of water in the morning.

Drinking water throughout the day is for thirst. Water therapy is not for thirst but for flushing all the toxins out of body and to regain good health.

Why is the amount 1.5 liters or 1.6 quarts recommended?

Considering the average stomach capacity, 1.5 liters (1.6 quarts) of water is recommended. It basically fills the stomach and the water gushes into the intestines and cleans the whole pathway. Since the small intestine does not absorb water, nature helps in the cleaning of the organs from the mouth, through the esophagus, stomach and the small intestines and part of the large intestine right down to the rectum. So every morning we clean the whole alimentary system (digestive and intestinal organs).

Benefits of Water Therapy
  • Helps detoxify your body through sweat and urine.
  • Helps you get glowing and healthy skin.
  • Helps maintain body temperature.
  • Help expelling waste products from the body.
  • Water therapy helps to control anemia, obesity, sinusitis, giddiness, cough, eye-disease, irregular menstruation, headache and many other diseases.
  • Helps control constipation in 1 day, acidity in 2 days, diabetes in 7 days, cancer in 4 weeks, pulmonary TB in 3 months, gastric in 10 days and BP & hypertension in 4 weeks.

WATER

Water is the common name applied to the liquid form (state) of the hydrogen and oxygen compound H2O. Pure water is an odourless, tasteless, clear liquid.  Water is one of nature's most important gifts to mankind.  Essential to life, a person's survival depends on drinking water.  Water is one of the most essential elements to good health. It is necessary for the digestion and absorption of food; helps maintain proper muscle tone; supplies oxygen and nutrients to the cells; rids the body of wastes; and serves as a natural air conditioning system. Health officials emphasize the importance of drinking at least eight glasses of clean water each and every day to maintain good health.
